Meet your 2022–2023 Vic Commuter Don team!
Joël Ndongmi (he/him)
Program: Major in Political Science with minors in English & Diaspora and Transnational Studies.
Talk to me about: Diaspora and Transnational Studies, photography, and getting involved in student journalism!
Fun fact: Last summer, I travelled to Sweden to do research about urban farmers for a journalistic piece.
Katie Advani (she/her)
Program: Majors in Human Biology and Animal Physiology.
Talk to me about: Life science courses and programs, interest in acting/theatre, interest in sports on TV and on campus.
Fun fact: I’m the back of Anne with an E’s head (on Netflix)!
Liam Sinclair-Thompson (he/him)
Program: Major in Environmental Science with Minors in Critical Studies in Equity and Diversity and Ecology and Environmental Biology.
Talk to me about: Cooking, biking, Environmental Science, balancing academics and athletics.
Fun fact: I just dropped a major at the end of my third year; it’s never too late to change what you study!
Amani Haskouri (she/her)
Program: OISE, Masters of Education in Social Justice.
Talk to me about: Graduate studies and admissions, sports, and things to do in Toronto.
Fun fact: I’m left-handed!
Adriana Goraieb (she/her)
Program: Majors in Physiology and Human Biology.
Talk to me about: Navigating moving to Canada and living alone for the first time, self-organization, crochet, pilates and self-care!
Fun fact: This year I crocheted a tote bag, 3 summer tops and a bucket hat!
Alyssa Nurse (she/her)
Program: Majors in Economics and Political Science.
Talk to me about: The international student experience, fitness and the gyms on campus, getting involved at both Vic (VUSAC) and across campus, skincare & wellness.
Fun fact: I used to do ballet on pointe, and was a competitive swimmer for 8 years!
Jonathan Yau (he/him)
Program: Specialist in accounting at Rotman Commerce, Focus in Data Science and Minor in Economics.
Talk to me about: Personal finance, career exploration in the business field, how to get involved at UofT, soccer and anything fun!
Fun fact: I travelled to Myanmar for a month to volunteer.
Landon See (he/him)
Program: Specialist in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Major in Biochemistry, Minor in Science Technology, and Society.
Talk to me about: Science, navigating POSts, study tips, getting involved across Vic, like intramurals.
Fun fact: I love hockey, golden retrievers, and studying modern scientific research!
Logan Scime (he/him)
Program: Majors in Philosophy and Biology.
Talk to me about: Art history, baking, cooking, and powerlifting.
Fun fact: I baked all of my bread for the first half of the year for a new year’s resolution.
