Hey Vickies!
At this point during midterm season, we’re sure that you are more than familiar with the different libraries and study spaces on campus, however, we also recognize that they may not always be the setting that you are looking for.
This week’s blog features locations on campus where you are welcome to study, socialize and meet new people. Check it out!
The Cat’s Eye
The Cat’s Eye is a student-run, volunteer-operated pub and lounge. It’s the perfect chill hangout spot for you and your friends. Located in the basement of the Goldring Student Centre (just past Ned’s Cafe!), it has something for everyone!
Hours: 9am-11pm Monday-Friday
Student Commons
The Student Commons, located right beside the bookstore, has several floors of open space, seating areas and meeting rooms.
This is a wonderful, social location in the heart of campus where you can connect with friends, or study in a more “chill” environment. This building is currently under some renovations to build a café and more study spaces, but still has lots of great space open to students!
The Arbor Room
A great social spot, but also a delicious food option! The Arbor Room is located in Hart House and has a new special for every day of the week off the grill. They also serve delicious coffee, sandwiches and snacks.

Sid’s Café
Located in Sidney Smith, Sid’s Café offers a variety of food options and plentiful seating to eat, study, and connect with your peers.
This location is super convenient since it’s super close to most lecture halls and libraries!
Victoria College Quad
Weather permitting, Vic’s Quad is a gorgeous place to study and talk to friends!
On a nice, warm, sunny day, bring a blanket to sit on, some snacks, and your work to have a chill study session or talk with your fellow Vickies! Vic’s Quad is a go-to location with beautiful architecture, and great people all around.
