… we just really like noodles, okay?

1. Scaccia

Victoria: “Although it’s also a sit-down restaurant, Scaccia in the Manulife Centre is my go-to for takeout comfort food near campus. They use fresh pasta for their generously portioned $10 meat and vegetarian lasagnas, which are delicious, filling, and guaranteed to make your friends jealous.”

2. Touhenboku Ramen

James: “Touhenboku is authentic Japanese ramen with a creamy broth that has just the right amount of flavour — not too salty and not too bland. The meat is very tender and full of savoury goodness, and their appetizers are equally as tasty. Order the Pork Belly Ramen!”

3. Crimson Teas

Jane: “This spot has some really unique noodle options that are budget-friendly! They make tasty green tea noodles with different toppings and smooth broth. It’s also a great place to study because of the big tables and quiet atmosphere.”

4. Kyouka Ramen

Karen: “There are two locations: one in the Beaches and one in Markham, GTA. Both are pretty far depending on where you live, but the authentic Japanese ramen very much makes up for the long commute! I recommend the Shio Ramen soup!”

5. Terroni

Samantha: “This is my fave place for pasta and other standard Italian fare! There are three locations in Toronto. If you’re with a friend, the mezzo e mezzo appetizer is the perfect shareable.”

6. Kim Vietnamese Restaurant

Sam: “If you’re craving Vietnamese food, make sure to try the C2 — a unique staple with a mix of vermicelli and yellow noodles and a shrimp cracker! As a bonus, give the Vietnamese iced coffee a try — super creamy and keeps you up!”

7. Kinton

Saambavi: “The vegetarian ramen at Kinton is the best I’ve had yet — it isn’t bland but none of the flavours are overwhelming either.”

8. Magic Noodle

Liam: “This place has two locations, one on Harbord west of Spadina and one in North York on Yonge Street. They have some very nice noodle dishes in which you can customize what noodle you would like.”
